It’s worth noting that an athlete or celebrity’s net worth is always a fairly rough estimate.CelebrityNetWorth.com puts Brady’s net worth at $120 million, while TheRichest guesstimates it to be $131 million.

What is known is that Brady has made over $162 million in career earnings from his NFL contracts. He was Forbes’ 11th highest-paid athlete and 65th on the “Celebrity 100” in 2013, but he has since fallen off both lists.

Brady has fallen off those aforementioned lists because he has turned himself into one of the biggest bargains in all of sports. In 2013, he agreed to a three-year contract extension worth $27 million, a below-market deal that helped the Pats free up $15 million in cap space for the 2013 and ’14 seasons.

In 2015, he has a base salary of $8 million, which is 10th among all quarterbacks–less than noted luminaries Sam Bradford, Colin Kaepernick and Matthew Stafford. According to Forbes, he is an absurd 20th in average annual salary.

3. His Wife’s Net Worth Is Estimated at $360 Million

A big reason Brady was able to leave so much on the table is because he’s part of a two-income family.

Brady’s wife, noted supermodel and world-wide icon Gisele Bundchen, has an estimated net worth of $360 million.

As of July 2014, she had made $386 million in her career, a number that has surely rocketed north of $400 million by now due to her long line of endorsements.

4. They Sold Their Last Home to Dr. Dre for $40 Million

When you have this kind of wealth, the list of potential buyers is quite short whenever you may want to put your ridiculously large house on the market. In 2014, Brady and Bundchen sold their 18,298 square-foot home in Brentwood, California, to Dr. Dre for $40 million. In 2008, they paid $11.75 million, giving them a pretty decent 240 percent return on their investment.

They now reside in Brookline, Massachusetts, where construction on their 14,371 square-foot home was recently completed. It’s unclear how much the house is worth, but they purchased the 5.2-acre property for $4.5 million in May of 2013.

5. He Makes About $7 Million in Endorsements Per Year

Endorsements with Ugg, Under Armour, Movado and Glacier Smartwater pay Brady about $7 million per year, according to Forbes.

He’s near the top of the list when it comes to football players, but he still trails far behind high-profile athletes in other sports due to the difficulty of marketing football players.

Patrick Rishe, director of the sports business program at Washington University in St. Louis, explains, via CNBC:

Among team sports, basketball and soccer players make more in endorsements because the stars in those sports truly stand out. They are visible during play, not wearing helmets, exude greater athleticism and those sports have greater international appeal.

(The NFL) is the least transportable of the top U.S. sports leagues.

Something tells us Brady will be alright.
